Taxidermy School in Thompson Falls, Montana:

The Advanced Taxidermy Training Center of NW Montana is situated in the quaint community of Thompson Falls. We look forward to sharing our undiscovered paradise, located approximately 95 miles NW of Missoula, Montana, and about 65 miles east of Sandpoint, Idaho.

If you love the outdoors, spectacular scenery, and an abundance of nature & wildlife, then Thompson Falls is a dream come true! To fully acquaint you with our beautiful little town, we have taken advantage of the many photographs we have taken over the years.

Thompson Falls Powerhouse River Trail

This is a loop trail just under 2 1/2 miles near Thompson Falls, Montana. A large portion of the trail runs along the Clark Fork River. You can choose the high trail, which looks down on the river, or the lower trail which runs right beside the river.

The trail is mostly flat, although there are a couple of very minor elevation changes. There are restrooms and benches scattered in various spots along the trail. This easy hike is a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon in Thompson Falls, Mt!

Our summer days stay light until 10 pm, so there is always plenty of time after taxidermy classes for hiking & sightseeing!

The Riverbend Golf Course in Thompson Falls, is open for several months during the year. With our mild climate, we have golfed this gorgeous nine hole course as early as March, and as late as November! Of course, we don’t mind sharing the fairways with the deer and wild geese!
One of our favorite places to hike, Driveway Peak is accessible by vehicle during the warmer months. Hiking trails at the top are easy enough for the “out of shapers”, and more difficult terrain is available for the more enthusiastic hiker!

We hope you are enjoying your photo tour through Thompson Falls and the surrounding area.
