Steve & Ro FundumWelcome to ATTC, a VA approved taxidermy school!

In six weeks time, you can have the skills & knowledge needed to open your own taxidermy studio!
If y
ou are serious about learning taxidermy techniques from an award winning instructor who will train you to run your own full service commercial taxidermy studio, then we would love to have you attend our school! Over the years, we have helped to launch many new taxidermy careers, and we are proud of the many successes of our graduates. They are accomplished commercial taxidermists, competition award winners, and at least four of our graduates are now running taxidermy schools of their own! After all our years of experience we still enjoy sharing our knowledge, and we still enjoy running our own full time taxidermy studio.

In all of our courses, we provide you with first rate specimens, as we firmly believe in quality over quantity. We do not rush you through with too many projects to properly complete. (You will complete 10 beautifully finished mounts in six weeks, that are yours to keep.) Once you learn our methods you will be able to run your own commercial taxidermy studio, and guarantee every mount for LIFE! Below are quick answers to the most basic questions you will have as you begin your search for taxidermy schools. Please take the time to read through them, and feel free to contact us with any questions you cannot find the answers to!
Note: We only have 1 opening in our Summer 6 week full course, and 1 openings in our Summer 6 day economy bird course. All other courses for the rest of this year are full. Please call us asap if you are interested in any of our last few openings for this year!
Quick Answers:

How much does your taxidermy course cost?
Tuition for our Six Week All Inclusive Training Course is $4,895 and includes EVERYTHING..... from specimens & tools, down to notebooks and pens for taking notes! Your only extra expenses will be for travel, meals, and housing. You get to keep everything you mount, providing you with a great showroom from the start! If you add up what it would cost to have all of your class projects mounted by your local taxidermist, factor in the cost of the hides and skins, then add the fact that you're getting a great education on top of it, you'll see that our tuition price is extremely reasonable! For those of you who have financial limitations or time restrictions, you may want to consider our Six-Day Economy Courses, which run from $995 to $1295 per course. Please see our Tuition page for more details.

What is covered in your taxidermy course?
Our six week course includes in-depth training in gameheads, lifesize, birds, fish, rugs, antler plaques, habitat, tanning, and business setup. We have also added three six-day courses to our curriculum, one for gameheads, one for birds, and one for fish. These one week classes are great for those who do not have the time or funds for our complete six week course! You will receive a graduation certificate for the class that you complete. Please see our Taxidermy Courses page for a more in-depth descriptions of all our courses. And finally, if you'd really like to get a first-hand look at what our classes involve, please take a look at our Class in Progress Photos!

When are classes offered?
Our full six week taxidermy course is offered 3 times per year, once each in the winter, spring, and summer. Please see our Schedule page for exact dates and more details. Our six-day economy courses are scheduled in March and June.

Why should I choose ATTC over all the other taxidermy schools?
This is a very common question, and we always have the same response....In order to honestly critique another school's curriculum and instructors, we would need to attend their program first hand. We are conscientious professionals, who put our effort in providing you with an education that will prepare you for your new taxidermy career.....period! We are not in the business of making assumptions about the training programs of other schools. What we can say, is that we have been teaching for over 20 years, our training is up to date & very detailed, and our graduates are very successful. In fact, four of our graduates even have their own schools now! So please take the time to research our site, check our references, and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have!

Do you offer any extra benefits or discounts?
Yes, we feel that we have applied some extra effort in this area. First of all we offer a Free Webpage to all of our graduates who want one. Also, we are offering three separate Six-Day Economy Courses for those who may have time (or $$$) restrictions. If you take more than one of our six day courses in succession, you will receive a $100 discount for each additional course you take. See tuition page for more details. For those wondering about veterans benefits, please see the next question.

How do the Veterans Benefits work?
It is a common misconception among veterans that the GI Bill will pay for their entire taxidermy schooling. Most veterans however, will simply receive a monthly allotment check while attending our full course. Since the course is six weeks, this will amount to 1 1/2 times your monthly amount. Only veterans who have been discharged with a service related disability may be eligible to have their entire training paid for. Please contact us if you have further questions concerning your Veterans Benefits.

Where will I stay while I'm attending classes in Montana?
Various establishments are available, and prices vary. Please see our Housing page for a detailed chart of availabilities.

Where is your school located?
ATTC is located in the NW corner of Montana, in the small town of Thompson Falls. Please see our Location page for more info about our area, and our Map page for driving directions.

What can I do in my off time?
A local real estate office in our area has an awesome site, with tons of photos on places to explore and things to do in the immediate area. Click HERE to open their site (in a new browser window).

What other information will be of benefit to me as I research your taxidermy school?
The above questions are the initial ones that most prospective students have as they begin their research. We suggest you browse the links at the top, bottom, or left side of this page, for more information on the topics that you wish to study more.
